This granular material for Freshwater and Saltwater aquariums has the ability to grow specific nitrifying bacteria to eliminate ammonia, ammonium, nitrite and nitrate within hours-not days, weeks, or months! The Nitrex Box is completely self-contained. It needs no air or electricity! The entire biological process happens within the box. Each Nitrex Box will control the nitrate in 30 gallons. For larger aquariums, the Nitrex Box can be stacked or inserted independently into the gravel.
